The Family-Friendly Disney Springs Kids Club Kicks Off Jan. 28 at Walt Disney World

A new Disney Springs Kids Club will kick off this Saturday, January 28, at Walt Disney World, offering up family-friendly music and fun so families can enjoy a morning at Disney without needing a theme park ticket.

The Details

The Disney Springs Kids Club takes place at Waterview Park located in the The Landing area of Disney Springs, between The BOATHOUSE and Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar, and is completely free to enjoy.

The fun starts at 10:30am ET each Saturday, and will feature a variety of family-friendly acts, which will vary each week.

Hello from the ever-lovely Walt Disney World! Even though we’ve had very hot weather here, a hot day at Disney is better than a cooler day anywhere else. Orange County Florida Reaches Benchmark That Would Allow Disney World to Remove Masks Completely

Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings addressed the latest COVID-19 data in a press release today. The county has maintained a 14-day COVID positivity rate of 4.7%. In Mayor Demings’ phased plan, a positivity rate of 5% or lower is required to eliminate all mask mandates. 

Mayor Demings did not officially remove the mandate in his press release, but is expected to do so next week.

Disney shares pop on promise of California Disneyland reopening

  • Shares of Disney were up on Monday after California provided new guidance allowing amusement parks to reopen in the state on April 1.
  • Disneyland and other parks in California have been closed for about a year due to coronavirus-related restrictions, even as other states like Florida have allowed parks to reopen with limited capacity.
  • In addition to the theme park news, Disney could also stand to gain in its movie business from accelerating box office numbers.

Walt Disney World Theme Park And Resorts Completely Booked, Disneyland Reopening Still Unclear

Now that the Super Bowl is over, where are the crowds going? Evidently, they’re going to Florida’s Walt Disney World and its resorts, and they didn’t even have to win a Big Game.

The company reported today that all parks are now completely booked next week for Disney Resort Guests and Theme Park Tickets Guests. Disney’s Hollywood Studios also currently has no availability for the rest of the month for guests.

Disney warns its new 'Star Wars' movie could trigger seizures in people with epilepsy

"Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker," the highly anticipated conclusion to the Skywalker saga, could trigger seizures in photosensitive people, Walt Disney Studios said.

The company issued a statement with the Epilepsy Foundation warning viewers that the film contains "several sequences with imagery and sustained flashing lights" that could affect those with photosensitive epilepsy, the letter reads.

Disney suggested posting notices at movie theaters to warn viewers of the risk, Variety reported.
